The artist by adrianismyname The artist by adrianismyname
Not "talented" people always tend to complain about how untalented they are and that the others are so good, without even giving their best. And artists pretend that they didn't spend much time on their works, that everything is coming just by so. Not always to brag.. sometimes they don't realise how much work it was because they didn't notice how much time has passed.

I just needed to tell that because I am a little sick of.. Oh I wish I could do that or Oh I wish I would be like her/him.

I don't want to be like you because I love to be me but, I do like your artwork. I totally agree with you. Indeed, people just see the outside, the simple part. The inner part it's complicated, special and took a lot of time.

I totally agree. A lot of people claim they cannot draw, but they are no better artists than anyone else when they only scribble on a page. I think that if many people did not surrender their love to draw from a young age, maybe our world would create more art and less junk. People would learn that it is worth the time and effort it takes to make something beautiful.
I also love the artwork; what a neat idea to do something like that on a wall!

Hi-hi~

Um... I have a project in a class where we have to pick a photograph or image or whatever and interpret it, according to some image theorists that we've recently learned about. So...is it okay if I use this please? Idk your name so I was just planning to use your username to credit you for it...lol ^^

^ completely agree!
We as humans have the power to do a lot of things, often we neglect that side of ourselves, one of the points of DA is to show we are the people who didn't just glance at the world but seen it through creative eyes and captured it through whatever medium of art you may chose to use.

I so agree with the desc.

Talent is VISION, hard work and putting time in is what creates the piece.

I don't think modesty is such a crime and neither is praise. True, it get annoying when someone tells you over and over again that their art is bad and that yours is great, just to get a complement out of you telling them its actually really good. But sometimes I honestly don't like one of my drawing and I say its bad and truly mean it. When I say something like that I wish people would take it seriously instead of assuming I was trying to get a complement. Other times I tell someone I love their art. Like how I really like this picture I am commenting on. I wish I could tell someone that I like their art without them assuming I want something back. So to some it up I don't think the things you mentioned are that bad if they are truly feeling that way, but in other cases, where they just want something from you I think you are right.

being able to use a projector isn't much of a talent one way or another

Now, don't sound so righteous and all-knowing. It isn't that difficult to draw on a wall, especially if they themselves are quite adept in the use of a pencil.

fair enough i may have come across as righteuos and all knowing but its only because i saw so many people in art college using projectors which in my view is cheating(not in this instance though as the person is clearly a photographer illustrating a concept),i'm probably just pissed off because lately i came to know that even caravaggio most likely used a similar method,i just think there's so much more to see and understand when drawing,painting.. from life

and you gathered that he is adept at drawing from the photos in his gallery?..this being the one featuring a detailed drawing? So you reckon he did this from either memory, imagination or a photo reference?Cop on.As a conceptual photo this is brilliant and nowhere does the artist claim it is anything other than a tracing but i just find it amusing that people think the artist is some great draughtsman, anyone can trace, takes patience not talent

I am simply noting that he may by adept wit the use of a pencil, not that he definitely is. I don't think we should assume either way.

You're saying that him being able to draw well or not doesn't matter when it comes to this picture, right? Well, weren't you the one, who, in the first place, felt a need to comment on the fact that it definitely wasn't a drawing? That it was just a projector? If you believe that it doesn't take away from the drawing and doesn't matter, why make a point of pointing out that, of course, he didn't draw it?

If you actually paid attention, it isn't a projector; it’s a drawing. They positioned it to an angle where you could see the artist, his work and his mistakes.

and if you weren't so gullible you'd see he could have drawn over a projection, turned off the projector, then positioned himself in front of it,doesn't take a genius

Some people don't know good art when they see some and try to make a silly excuses when it seems impossible to them.

Even if it is "photorealism", it still is art. Everything and anything can be art; I feel sad that you have a small perspective of it.
