If the world, or nature, has created values, those values would be pretty difficult for us to discover, know, or justify against all the possible rival interpretations.
The easy and clear, or safe or popular, social values designed for us are much less interesting than the ones we can create for ourselves. Or as Socrates says, "The unexamined life is not worth living" (Plato's 'Apology').
true. the unexamined life is worthless. and yeah. the values we create for ourselves are much more interesting. true. but i am still more interested in thinking in a global way, otherwise it would mean that i'm alone on this world.
Schön ! i like how the colors are changin in every part of this photo. i love how it looks and everithing. And who says you need to go far in life? the only path that is important is to feel happy and complete with what you do.
The world created those values that everyone thought they needed to achieve, that they needed to get far in life.... but life isn't easy and impossible to do on your own... Makes me wonder what the person is thinking about that breathtaking landscape in the picture. Everything humans say we need seems so irrelevant when looking at something like this. God made that landscape.... and it seems the exact opposite of what society tells us to do. It does something to our hearts to look at sunsets like that.... makes us feel grateful and joyous.... but sadly we often aren't sure who to be thankful to. Glad I know. What a deep picture. Love it
This is somewhat surreal. The clouds perhaps...I could again ramble of uncertainty of figure given, but oh well, I think I said it too many times. Well done.
I like how you used three-thirds rule, it emphasises the effect. and makes the image quite splinted. due it's weight difference. I love your tones, as always they are so soft. Overall picture seems surreal, I think it might be the clouds looking like they are drawn Then I think about it floes you are standing on (or is it snow on ice, I'm not sure) remind me of steps. Further it .. disappears? Uncertainness. Such and oxymoron in my head with your title. It is just my interpretation. Thank you for sharing
Loved reading your comment... now that I look at it again, he does seem lost, floating around on those ice floes or whatever it is that they are. Maybe he feels lost in the hugeness and mysteriousness of the natural world....
