Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.
And this is becoming a growing problem, I think, because n

Just life

I thought I should write a journal entry again. Just an update about my life, as I am not too active here and with photography in general.

Since I am not in school anymore my life has changed a bit. I have to make decisions about my life and so on. Quite hard to be honest. In the next weeks I will start my community work for nearly a year and so I won't have much time for photography. But I will make 1 photo per week at least. That will be for sure.

Furthermore I am focusing more on music lately... Which means I will write songs and stuff. I will upload them on YouTube like my photos here

Anyway.. have a nice time

Well.. basically I'm finishing high school in May and although I have no idea what to do with myself in my future life, I know I'll definately go to uni. It's just that without higher education there's no possibility of finding a job here. Is it different in Germany?
